Mechanic-Technician

This is what you’ll do:

As a Mechanic-Technician at NOMI, no two days are the same. Your role is versatile and challenging. You’ll be responsible for tasks such as:

• Supporting the start-up of production;
• Assembling, setting up, converting, and optimizing our production lines;
• Performing (preventive) maintenance, overhauls, and repairs on our machines, production equipment, and facilities;
• Quickly and effectively identifying and resolving machine malfunctions to minimize downtime;
• Assisting Senior Production Employees and Operators with operating the machines and troubleshooting issues. Our Operators are trained to solve many machine faults independently;
• Inspecting packaging for technical quality;
• Taking turns with colleagues to be responsible for the on-call maintenance phone;
• Contributing ideas for improvement — your suggestions are welcome and can be discussed with your supervisor. We’re fully open to them!

This is you:

As our new Mechanic/Technician, you recognize yourself in the following:

• You have experience as a mechanic — mechanical, and possibly also in electronics;
• Ideally, you have knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems;
• You have good command of both Dutch and English.

Additionally, you are independent, highly responsible, and flexible when the situation calls for it.

You’ll primarily work day shifts, but you’re also flexible. Working in a two-shift system or occasional overtime? That’s no problem for you. At NOMI, we usually work day shifts, but during busier periods we may switch to two shifts. You're flexible, ready to pitch in, and we ensure a clear schedule and timely communication.

We offer a dynamic role where no day is the same. This position can be full-time (38.25 hours) or part-time (minimum of four days a week). Our day shift working hours are from 07:30 to 16:30. On Fridays, we finish at 14:30 — your weekend starts early!

• A competitive salary up to €3,700 gross per month (based on full-time, 38.25 hours);
• 24 vacation days;
• 50% overtime pay, or the option to accrue time-off in lieu;
• Travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer (for one-way trips over 10 km);
• If a shift schedule is implemented, you’ll receive a 15% shift allowance on hours worked;
